You may hear this a lot around old Ankh-Morpork, and sometimes you might only hear it once. Don't misunderstand, they don't wantonly kill (usually), they kill for money. Different regions have different branches, which have different primaries and different Books. A new addition to Ankh-Morpork are the NPC assassins wandering about, that are used to inhume enemies of the guild according to the guildmasters wishes.
